Canyons District encourages residents to follow the stay-at-home order issued Friday by Utah Gov. Gary Herbert. As a result of the order, Canyons District facilities and playgrounds will be closed to the public until further notice to help stem the spread of COVID-19. Parents, patrons and students are asked to avoid coming to any CSD facility except to access Canyons District’s grab-and-go Nutrition Services Program on weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. As a reminder, however, CSD will not serve meals during the April 6-10 Spring Recess. Please note that the governor’s stay-at-home direction will not impact next week’s start of distance learning in Canyons District, which has been preparing to pivot to online learning since state officials temporarily dismissed schools as a preventive public-health measure. If you have questions about technology, your child’s assignments, or student expectations, please reach out by phone or email to your child’s teacher. If you don’t hear back after 24 hours, please contact the principal of your child’s school. For more details about Canyons District’s response to coronavirus-related issues please see www.canyonsdistrict.org or our social media pages, which are updated regularly. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding as we work together as a community on this important issue. Be well and stay safe.
You may see teachers coming in and out of the building to collect supplies or schoolwork for their online learning classes, but they are keeping their distance from each other and they are not spending long in the building. The building will be closed to parents.
Thank you,
Principal Yule
