US News Utah’s Top Ranked Elementary School Badge

Attendees: Megan Ord, Anne Hansen, Betty Anderson, Chloe Heder, Jennie Stratton, Brooke Zimmerman, Emilee Jeppson, Jessica Smith, Andrea Nixon, Megan White, Aimee Wagner

Agenda:

  • Welcome principal Wagner

  • April meeting minutes:

  • Assure expenditures in current LAND trust and TSSA are on track: we will have exactly 10% over in LAND trust and a bit less in TSSP

  • Discussion around impact of money spent using data: first grade was a bit off goal- goal does not necessarily reflect what the curriculum is teaching- math percentages across the board have been much higher, which demonstrates the math interventions have been working, every teacher has participated in 8 side by side arts integration program. Our school has exited TSI- meaning we have made growth in a number of areas- specifically we have made a large leap in the growth of our English language learners- here it’s a targeted language approach and they remain immersed in the peer English classroom. There has been a goal this year to focus on more high level classroom conversations- highly benefits English language learners.

  • Publicize current years’ work to school community and legislators:

  • Announce when fall elections will be held: declaration of candidacy 8/18 and elections will be held 8/2
