School Community Council Opportunity
At Willow Springs Elementary, we grow together! We take pride in our strong community and our dedicated educators, employees, a vibrant PTA, and an engaged School Community Council (SCC).
Joining the Willow Springs School Community Council is a fantastic way to contribute to our school’s success. As an SCC member, you’ll collaborate with other parents, guardians, and employees to review achievement data, help identify academic needs, and assist in shaping our school’s improvement plans. You’ll also play a crucial role in deciding how School LAND Trust funds are used, ensuring our students receive the best possible education.
By being part of the SCC, you’ll have a direct impact on initiatives like our Digital Citizenship Plan, School Safety Plan, and more. It’s a unique opportunity to support your child’s educational experience and be involved in our school’s decisions and future.
SCC roles are elected roles, and we currently have a few positions open. Please think about nominating yourself (link the form for candidacy). This year Willow Springs is piloting electronic SCC elections. All candidates must submit their information no later than August 19, 2024. If an election is necessary, we will construct an electronic ballot that will be sent to every parent/guardian in our school.
We invite you to join us in making a difference at Willow Springs. Together, we can continue to create a nurturing environment where every student thrives. For more information please visit our website or contact Principal Anne Hansen (anne.hansen@canyonsdistrict.org) with any questions. Let’s grow together at Willow Springs Elementary!
