    • SCC will write and develop LAND Trust plan to address one or more goals from TSSP.
      1. Council discussed
  • Final report for previous year’s plan due to be submitted by principal to School Performance by end of January.
      1. The website for Land Trust is down. Marianne was not able to share the report that was written.
  • Assure SCC roster on website and state site is accurate, update weiler@canyonsdistrict.org and susan.edwards@canyonsdistrict.org with any changes.
      1. All members reviewed information and confirmed the information on the website is correct.
  • Discuss Child Access Routing Plan (SNAP) and prepare recommendations (only elementary and middle schools). Due January 27th.
    • Council discussed concerns, including the following.
      1. The crossing guard at Tanager was taken away because not enough students were crossing there. With more completed houses west of 300 East near Carlquist Drive, the council feels there needs to be a crossing guard at the roundabout on Carlquist Drive and 300 East.
      2. The bus drop off/Faculty parking lot. Parents picking up and dropping off in the area leads to children crossing between buses. More signage is desired to direct parents to safe pick-up locations.
      3. Adding painted right and left arrows on the asphalt as well as signs to help parents exit the student drop off area safely.
      4. Drainage in the field. After sprinklers, rain and snow melt swampy areas with water, mud and mosquitoes occur.
    • SNAP plan was submitted.
  • Review current year’s LAND Trust plan, data, expenditures, and review if on course or if amendments are necessary.
    • Amber and Denise, the school achievement coaches, reviewed data from current school year goals. Summary of results will be posted on the school website.
    • Council discussed their concern that the kids struggle to enjoy reading. Marianne suggested we contact the to PTA to share our idea of a book club to help build the love of reading in the students.
    • Marianne reviewed the current budget that is on track.
  • Update school website with current agenda/minutes/information from meeting.
    • Sarajane motioned to end the meeting, Alexis seconded the motion, the council unanimously agreed. The meeting was adjourned.
    • Next SCC meeting will be February 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
