School data from last year:

  • School climate goal- PAWS rules named (96% named ALL!) GOAL MET
  • ELA goals- general summation- very close to hitting all benchmarks

 

Last year’s LAND trust plan- extra 40k as the school counselor salary was picked up by the district, rest of the funds were spent according to appropriation and then 10% was saved according to guidelines for the next year

This year’s LAND trust plan- see School Improvement Plan for numerated goals, actual funds realized based on population is similar to target goals from last year, so no need to make significant adjustments
-K ELA Goal- 80% proficiency NWF/CLS (current 60%)
-1st ELA goal- 75% proficiency (current 62%)
-1st and 2nd ELA – 80% on benchmark (current 75% and 80%)
-3-5th ELA- 75% on benchmark
-K math- 85% (63%)
-1st Math- 75% (67%)
-2nd Math- 75% (66%)
-3-4th Math- 73% (46% and 63%)
-5th Math- 68% (61%)
-School Climate Goal- 100% of teachers participating in PBIS and
side-by-side teaching (focus on behavior and student engagement)

Safe Walking Routes:

  • heavily assessed and reviewed with Draper PD last year
  • routes are suggested to avoid extra danger etc
  • final plan/ response to concerns from last year due October 31st
  • last year’s plans will be sent via email from Principal Hansen
  • one concern- parents dropping off on bus and staff parking lot
  • safety patrol possibly being reinstated
  • parents need to only walk on crosswalks not through parking lot
  • add to the safety plan this year- request for fence on island in parking and paw prints painted

 

Motion to add topics to next meeting:

  • letter writing to decrease time in school for kids
  • submit video for $2,500 to LAND Trust
