  • Review and Approve Minutes from September-minutes approved (Anne Hansen motion to approve, Jennie seconded 9 in agreement) 
  • Review Current Year’s LAND trust plan, data, expenditures and review if spending is on course or if amendments are necessary (spending is on track, will check slight discrepancy and report back to group- likely a slow payroll layout) 
  • Finalize Safe Walking Routes reports (Due Oct 31) (full plan was reviewed and updated as needed to be submitted by Oct 31) 
  • Revising Bylaws to include: (decision made to adopt district recommended SCC bylaws to reflect all edits needed below) 
    • Exact number of parent members & school employee members
    • Add staggered terms
    • Describe process of electing a Chair (parent) & Vice Chair (parent or school employee)
    • Grounds for member removal
    • Filling vacancies
    • Conflicts of Interest
    • Parliamentary Order & Procedure (ie Roberts Rules of Order)
    • Other Recommended Sections
  • Begin Discussion on School Safety & Digital Safety Plan (due before Christmas Break)

Updates:

  • Motion to approve cell tower funding as principal’s discretionary fund-carried (voting recorded on official meeting minutes) 
  • Motion to approve safe walking routes with suggested edits approved
  • Request for additional safety measures added to safety plan (ie crossing guard, or flashers or flags) 
  • Request for stipend to add bus monitors etc to increase bus safety added to safety plan

Action Items: 

  • Finalize and submit video for extra LAND trust funding
  • Put in request for extra signage around most dangerous intersections on carlquist etc and bus monitors via safety plan 
  • SCC Bylaws outlined by the district have been read and discussed by all members and will be edited to reflect our specific circumstance then voted and adopted at next meeting 
  • All SCC members to review School Safety Questions and come prepared with discussion for next time 
  • Principal Hansen to get clarity to understand settings for filtering on chrome books and how parents enable the settings and include another Parent Square message to remind parents about settings
