Agenda:

  • Review and Approve Minutes from November- APPROVED by unanimous vote
  • Review Revised Bylaws- council reviewed changes, minor changes made to language to clarify timing of things and to include a clause enumerating how to disclose and identify a conflict of interest. Bylaws pass with a unanimous yes vote.
  • Review current year’s LAND Trust plan, data and expenditures and review if on course or if amendments are necessary- on track to follow budget as set out already, to discuss cost of counselor at district level
    • Finalized report for previous year’s plan due (by end of Jan)
  • Assure SCC roster on website and state site is accurate- reviewed and accurate
  • Begin writing TSSP and LAND Trust plans for next school year-see consideration brainstorming below in updates
  • Discussion on adding a computer skills class (maybe combined with STEM brain booster?) -how can we expand on typing skills/ make them more intentional if they are going to be taught

 

Updates:

  • Data review: Reviewed mid-year testing and everyone is on track to meet or exceed goals
  • Data review: fourth grade math to have extra math interventions and supports
  • Discussion of new curriculum to be adopted for math in the 26/27 school year- across the district will be implementing Amplify Desmos
  • To continue discussing changes reading goals to align better with RISE in place of acadience for 26/27 for grades four and five
  • Consideration needs to be taken towards potential arts funding cuts in the next year in our upcoming TSSP plan- think about what measures of data we can track and use to promote allocating funds here- consider using attendance as it can be most influential in student success
  • Consideration needs to be taken towards declining student numbers- what needs to be done to increase interest in the school- we have arts integration- could we integrate an after school arts program

 

Action Items:

  • Principal Hansen to clarify numbering on bylaws (editing 1.1 to 1A etc as needed)
  • Principal Hansen to potentially reach out to district for after school offerings hosting
  • Principal Hansen to collect and share data on typing skills for the school
  • Plan and execute Chromebook recording times- Jessica Smith to head sub-committee to record- planning to have list done before parent teacher conferences so stickers can be added to packets going home
