Agenda:

  • Review and Approve Minutes from January- APPROVED by unanimous vote
  • Begin writing TSSP and LAND Trust plans for next year– discuss using RISE data- discussion around funding the maintenance of current teacher numbers- to be finalized at next meeting.
  • Review current year’s LAND trust plan, data, expenditures, and review if on course or if amendments are necessary
  • Keyboarding follow-up– to be discussed further at school level.
  • Parent Volunteers– school is receiving a lot of support from high school helpers and aides- some teachers may not use as many volunteers- upper grade parents may be feeling more isolated.
  • Parent Communication– hope to have open lines of communication between teachers and parents.
  • Chromebook serial number collection

 

Updates:

  • Funding in TSSP and LAND trust to be further discussed after attendance number and budget finalized.
  • Academic goals for 26/27 to possibly shift to curriculum based testing standards and metrics.
  • Social worker to cost a bit more-to compensate second grade aide will not work on Fridays in order to compensate, reading intervention will end a bit before the end of school.
  • 3-5 reading data looking on track for EOY goals.
  • Keyboarding skills assessment have gone down- to consider keyboarding as a STEM unit- could consider a contest among grades.
  • All teachers expected to have opportunities daily Monday-Thursday for parent volunteers as they have time.
  • As far as parent communication would be nice to have a standardized expectation.

 

Action Items:

  • Andrea to find out when district will announce testing preferences for DWSBA and bring that back to committee.
  • BLT or other teachers to discuss which testing method would be preferred for data collection and report back in March.
  • BLT to discuss keyboarding for next year.
  • Andrea to check in with teachers to share ideas around parent volunteers- parent volunteers to help out with Great American?
