  • Begin writing TSSP and LAND Trust plans for next school year
    • Principal Hansen opened discussion for planning. She knew people mentioned they wanted to see some math goals set and worked towards.
    • Annie Dixon discussed adding some potential math goals, discussed some current statistics and goals we have for this year. She went over every grade and potential goals and progress.
    • Shalisse asked do we know how our school is doing compared to other schools in math? Principal Hansen said we are average.
    • Principal Hansen discussed ways SCC can help add funding to support the goals: intervention as well as training for the teachers. Teachers present said they would love the additional training/ support for math (math groups etc.)
    • Principal Hansen would love to see more cross grade support. When a grade learns a skill, it is built upon in a higher grade. If there was a similar language grade to grade it could help the students.
    • Shalisse asked about how parents could support their students in math at home, can we make resources available or at least make parents aware of those resources.
    • Anne Dixon shows us on screen how parents can use videos. On Clever, Savas Easy Bridge. She can make an instructional video to show parents how to use the video resources at home.
    • We need to think about how we would allocate the funds to have more money for math help.
    • Jessica asked if we can ask the district to help pay for the art teacher hour deficit or social worker.
    • Principal Hansen will invite Mindy to the next meeting to give a presentation on what she does and how she uses her time. Then the SCC can write a letter to the district asking for more funding.
    • Shalisse suggested we send a letter to the district to ask for more funding for Mindy’s employment.
