    • Reviewed climate goal of 90% of students know PBIS expectations
    • Principal Hansen is happy with new rules and students understanding them
  • Finalize writing TSSP and LAND Trust plans for next school year (due April 9th)
  • Principal Hansen shared:
    • 25-26 FTE allocations were considered.
    • Met with the Building Leadership Team and made a plan for the amount of teachers and aide support. She added money for TSSP to allow for the staff/aides needed for 25-26.
    • Shared 2025-2026 TSSP Draft goals for reading for all grades.
    • Shared 2025-2026 TSSP Draft goals for math for all grades.
    • Shared 2025-2026 TSSP Draft goals for Climate goal.
    • Some parents suggested reaching out to individual board members of CSD regarding Mindy VanDeGraff’s extra hours we want the district to support.
    • Principal Hansen showed 2025-2026 TSSP Draft Expenditures.
  • Shalisse expressed concern with the I-Ready math software purchase. Does it make it easy for teachers to not stay engaged with how students are doing and giving parents good feedback? She wants to make sure teachers are encouraged and taught to stay engaged with how students are doing and giving parent feedback.
  • Annie Dixon and teachers said it’s just support for teachers if needed and sometimes teachers will know best how students are doing by meeting with the kids or other methods, not just relying on the software report.
  • Megan G said we as parents want to know how our kids are doing and keeping us informed and how parents can support students and what areas they need help in.
  • Principal Hansen said we can give parents access to see how their kids are doing and give parents reassurance of how we are using tech.
  • Principal Hansen-communications around math interventions for parents.
  • Principal Hansen will have it ready by March 28th to sign and will email draft prior to that.
  • Review Positive Behavior Plan and prepare to submit
    • Already reviewed.
  • Signature page confirmed and signed at meeting where approval is passed
  • Begin Chrome Book Discussion
  • Shalisse shared concerns after talking to teachers, parents, and being at the board meeting. Her observations:
      • Filtering systems don’t work very well.
      • Teachers are concerned and don’t want students to stumble upon anything undesired on their watch.
      • LandSchool is believed to be highly flawed, other systems could be better
      • There is a cheating component that allows students to share answers.
      • Students are able to easily access pornography even at elementary level but just a few clicks.
      • Losing value of one-on-one teaching, current teaching is so close to online canyons school district.
      • Parents are concerned about blue light time; screen time.
      • Very difficult for the district to know how to solve the problems, it’s very complicated.
      • Safety issue is huge.
      • Transparency is good, share all info with parents.
      • AI isn’t going anywhere
      • The district has a grant that is attached to certain programs and they supposedly don’t use the whole amount of money.
      • The District will form a subcommittee that will start immediately with parents, high school students, board members to find solutions.
      • SCCs should be a huge part of how schools decide to use technology.
      • Parents are requesting more to District to have students just be on paper and pencil
      • Shalisse is worried that many parents will be asking to have their students be put on paper and pencil immediately.
    • Principal Hansen already has parents meeting with her regarding this.
    • Annie Dixon said that some students with access issues need tech
    • District’s immediate actions are:
      • Block media file share-filtering category and add back appropriate apps.
      • Teachers will be asked to eliminate Chromebook free time use.
      • CSD will provide regular digital citizenship updates and information to families.
    • MANY parents said we never opted in to Chromebook usage, maybe have everybody on highest restriction and you opt in to lower restrictions.
    • Students should not be doing online homework unless parents opt in.
    • Megan G. – Go back and watch the meeting and we will have chance to all share our own feedback next time. To think of all implications of all different avenues.
    • District said Principal Hansen will be asked to look at some considerations to consider, she will share it when she gets it.
    • Megan Ord wants to understand how the 5th grade uses Chromebook since that’s an age they use more time on them.
  • Adjourn Meeting
    • Motion-Sarajane, Second-Megan Ord
